The alley that leads to More Better Antiques. In an obscure little alley, just on the edge of downtown Spokane, there is a most unusual place. A place where one can discover many fine and rare antiques. Hidden from the street, the sun and the public for over two decades, these lovely and unusual items are the result of over thiry years of discerning collecting.

As you approach the graffitti-covered loading dock with its large roll-up door, you might begin to wonder if you made a mistake; indeed, how could it be possible that treasures from the 18th,19th and 20th centuries could be found in such a place?

Entrance to More Better AntiquesYou hesitate, but you did call and make an appointment to see that French Sideboard. Anticipation overcomes trepidation; you push the button near the door, a bell sounds in the interior... Like the rock that hid Ali Baba's cave, slowly the door begins to open; you are greeted by Dan and ushered into a place that is more warehouse than showroom, a place filled with an eclectic mix of antiques of all descriptions.

As you glance around, hoping for a glimpse of that sideboard, a Horner bedroom suite catches your eye. On a column, ten feet above the floor, hangs a moose head crowned with a huge set of antlers. You smile at the sight of a Victorian chamberpot/footstool, those silly Victorians! A Liberty armoire, a Craftsman mantle.

A leopard guards the antique collection.

High up a leopard on a branch, teeth bared, ready to leap, Yikes! Oh wait, it's stuffed and mounted... a near escape. So many antiques, so few eyes to see them all.

Ah, the sideboard. The ebony and the inlay work are arresting, and the gold ormulu molding is even better in person than on the web. Anne was right, it will be the perfect piece for the entry hall. All will be fine if Gladys doesn't butt in.

You can take advanatage of my need to reduce my antique collection. This site is showing only a sparse representation of what I have available. I have collected rare and unusual pieces from all over the western hemisphere without concern for a particular period or style.

Do call me: 509.838.5128, Or send me an I have more information regarding the antique pieces shown here and other antiques in my collection.
